Michele Spanghero’s art works combine sound and visual arts with in-depth conceptual research and are defined by a transversal approach and an essential aesthetic. The creative impulse arises as a reaction to the enormous amount of data that surrounds us, so he subtracts, isolates and reworks pre-existing material in search of a new semantic system.
The artist seeks to stimulate the viewers’ involvement by subtly altering their perception. Silence, acoustic resonance and the imperceptible variations of sound in space and matter are the core of his sound practice. Spanghero investigates the relationship between space and perception through photography, sculpture and sound.
