Maria Elisabetta Novello has found the ash the essential structural component of her work and the way to conceive her artistic poetics. She acts with precarious and minimal signs on the clues of private and public, social and relational anthropological memory.

Novello collects her material and returns it silent but crossed by a responsible action, with a new identity and a new image. She is interested in highlighting what lies in the middle between her poetics and the material, that is, what lies between the content and the form, the individual and the universal, the private appearance and the collective.
